This Privacy Policy explains how PocketPro ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PocketPro mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Account and Profile Information

When you create and use an account, we collect:

  • Authentication data such as email/password credentials, and Sign in with Apple token/name/email (if you choose Apple Sign-In)
  • Account recovery and verification tokens from password reset/verification deep links
  • Profile fields, including full name, date of birth, gender, phone number, handicap, username, display name, bio, and onboarding/communication/rating preferences

Golf Round and Scoring Data

To provide personalized recommendations, we collect:

  • Round metadata and settings, such as course, tee, goals/risk settings, holes configuration, status, and timestamps
  • Round weather snapshots
  • Hole-by-hole scores, penalty shots, and manual score adjustments

Shot-Level and Learning Data

During play, we collect shot and performance telemetry, including:

  • Shot start/end GPS coordinates, elevation/altitude, lie type, club used, distance, power percentage, dispersion, distance-to-pin, shot type, notes, timestamps, and related recommendation/learning fields
  • Derived club-learning and rating data, such as per-club distance/dispersion stats, lie multipliers/confidence, and ability rating history/progression

Location Data

With your permission, we collect precise GPS location data to track shots, calculate distances, and support round tracking. This includes tee/manual location overrides and GPS accuracy metadata. If you grant background location permission, we may process location updates while an active round is being tracked in the background. You can change location permissions in your device settings.

Social and Notification Data

If you use social features, we collect social graph and messaging metadata, including friendship status/timestamps, discoverability/profile visibility fields, and in-app notification records (recipient, type/title/body, payload, read/sent status, and timestamps).

Analytics and Usage Data

We collect analytics and operational telemetry, including course search logs (query or coordinates, radius, result count, latency), app events (event name/category/properties, session/platform/version), LLM usage logs (request type/model/context summary/tokens/latency/success or error), and per-user LLM limit counters.

On-Device Storage and Offline Data

We store certain data on your device, including authentication session tokens in secure storage, onboarding state, manual location overrides, active round identifiers, and offline caches/queued writes that may include unsynced round, shot, or profile payloads.

User-Initiated Sharing and Export

When you trigger sharing/export features, we process data needed for that action, such as support-email prefill details (for example, your email and app version), CSV export contents (such as profile, shots, rounds, clubs, and friends data), and share-image generation fields (such as round stats and username).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and secure your account, including login and account recovery
  • Provide club recommendations based on your performance
  • Track and display your golf statistics
  • Enable social features and in-app notifications
  • Operate, monitor, and improve AI features and service performance
  • Enforce product limits and prevent misuse
  • Improve the App's functionality
  • Respond to support requests

3. How We Share Information

We use the following service providers:

  • Supabase: Authentication and managed database/storage
  • OpenAI: AI-powered features (prompt/context processing for caddie/chat functionality)
  • OpenWeather: Weather lookups using location coordinates
  • Third-party golf/course data providers: Course data and search API requests (which may include course query parameters and/or location coordinates)
  • Apple: App distribution and Apple Sign-In (if you use it)

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption and secure data storage. Authentication session tokens are stored in secure on-device storage.

5. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the Service, including while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access and update your information in the App settings
  • Control location permissions through your device settings
  • Use in-app features to share or export certain data
  • Request account deletion by contacting info@pocketpro.golf

7. Children's Privacy

PocketPro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Effective Date" above.
